Gender-Based Violence, including Title IX, Resources and Information
The College is committed to preserving an educational and employment environment that is free from sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking, gender-based discrimination, and gender-based harassment, in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws including Title IX, Title VII, the United States Department of Education and the 2013 Reauthorized Violence Against Women Act. Accordingly, the College maintains comprehensive policies and procedures to ensure that all rights available under Title IX and other applicable laws are upheld.
In accordance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, 20 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. and its implementing regulations, 34 C.F.R. Part 106, McDaniel College (“McDaniel College” or “the College”) does not discriminate on the basis of sex in any of the
College’s educational programming and activities.
Reports of harassment, violence or discrimination can be made to Dr. Labov at any time in person, or by calling the listed telephone number (410-857-2205) or emailing her at her e-mail address (jlabov@mcdaniel.edu), or via mail by writing to Title IX Coordinator, McDaniel College, Bethlen Gábor tér 2, 1071 Budapest or by any other means that results in the Title IX Coordinator receiving your verbal or written report.
The Title IX Coordinator is available to meet with individuals to discuss the policy, the options for making a complaint, support services including interim measures, accessing medical attention, academic accommodations, confidential counseling resources, and
any other questions related to McDaniel’s response to interpersonal violence.
Anyone in the College community who is approached by someone claiming to have experienced an incident of sexual or gender-based misconduct or other form of interpersonal violence is encouraged to direct or accompany that person to meet with the Title IX Coordinator or to make a report themselves.
