My primary professional interest lies in teaching Hungarian language and culture to multinational students.
Teacher of English and Hungarian language, literature, and methodology of language teaching.
After graduating from Eötvös University (ELTE), Budapest, I taught in every type of state school from primary to college. It proved essential when I started to work as a teacher trainer at my university, ELTE.
I also began to teach Hungarian as a foreign language in the California-Wisconsin Education Abroad Program. Between 1995 and 1997, and then in 2007- 2008 I worked at the Center for Hungarian Studies of Rutgers University, New Jersey. I am the co-author with Péter Medgyes of the monograph: The Language Situation in Hungary. In: Language Planning and Policy in Europe, Vol. 1. Clevedon: Multilingual Matters.
