McDaniel College Budapest to host its first human rights conference

By Emmanuel Olaye

McDaniel College Budapest is set to host its first human rights conference on November 21, 2014.

The conference will be held in the Budapest Campus and welcomes various

Human rights topics from different universities around Hungary.

Some of the universities that will be giving a topic in the conference include;

Comenius University Bratislava, the UK’s University of Birmingham and

McDaniel College, Maryland.

Some of the topics to be presented include:

  • The Dada Art Movement and the Culture of Immigrant Populations.
  • Interculturalism in Visegrad or how would Geert Hofstede sees us through his five dimensions?
  • The EU, the Charter of Fundamental Rights, and Immigration.
  • Intergenerational integration into the host culture: A Hungarian-America example.

All these topics and much more will be presented and addressed out of concern

for human rights, freedom and liberty. Human right is a very delicate issue that   needs to be taken into serious consideration especially by the youths.
