Professor Madarász has published on ancient Greek and scholastic economic ideas, mercantilism, cameralism, the tulipomania, the South Sea Bubble, Adam Smith, Keynes, Schumpeter, Hayek, Myrdal and various Hungarian economists of past centuries. He is currently writing a book on bubbles, myths and public debts between 1637 and 1850.
